In het weekend van 20 tot en met 22 maart zullen Mitra Karl Brunhölzl en Karunika Stephanie Johnston de Nederlandse Sangha bezoeken. Het programma is voor alle leden van NB wereldwijd. Het is zowel op locatie als online en er worden opnamen gemaakt. Het weekend is in Rotterdam.
Mitra Karl is een van de hoofdleraren van Nalandabodhi en leerling van Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. Hij staat bekend om zijn vermogen om moeilijke onderwerpen eenvoudig uit te leggen. Hij is ook een van de leraren van het Nitharta institute for higher Budhist Studies. Daarnaast is hij auteur van vele boeken over het Boeddhisme. Hij was ook vertaler en leerling van Khenpo Tsultrim Gyatso.
Zijn partner, Stephanie is eveneens een leerling van Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche . In het verleden heeft ze gestudeerd onder Khenpo Tsultrim Gyatso. Zij geeft ook les aan het Nitharta instituut. Stephanie heeft gestudeerd aan Nova Scotia College of art and design. Binnenkort verschijnt een boek van haar over boeddhistische beeld geletterdheid.
Op vrijdagavond 20 maart zal Mitra Karl een openbare lezing geven over Devotie en Leegte.
Deze lezing is open voor alle geïnteresseerden. Het is zinvol om op tijd aan te melden daar er een beperkt aantal plaatsen is. Het begint om 19.30 en duurt tot 22.00.
Op zaterdag en zondag zal het onderwerp zijn “het belang van leegte op het Boeddhistische pad”. Dit is alleen toegankelijk voor leden van Nalandabodhi. Het zal een hybride bijeenkomst zijn zodat ook leden uit het buitenland kunnen deelnemen. Het is echter nog een verrassing hoe het er uit gaat zien. De indeling van de dagen is als volgt:
De bijeenkomst wordt gehouden in ’t Fundament, dit is de repetitieruimte van het theater ‘t Kapelletje. Het adres is Willem van der Sluysstraat 176 in Rotterdam. De ruimte ligt op 10 minuten lopen vanaf Rotterdam Centraal Station (uitgang Blijdorpzijde).
On the weekend of March 20-22, Mitra Karl Brunhölzl and Karunika Stephanie Johnston will visit the Dutch Sangha. The program is open to all NB members worldwide. It will be held both onsite and online, and recordings will be made. The weekend will take place in Rotterdam.
Mitra Karl is one of the main teachers at Nalandabodhi and a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. He is known for his ability to explain difficult subjects in a simple way. He is also one of the teachers at the Nitharta Institute for Higher Buddhist Studies. In addition, he is the author of many books on Buddhism. He was also a translator and student of Khenpo Tsultrim Gyatso.
His partner, Stephanie, is also a student of Dzogchen Ponlop Rinpoche. In the past, she studied under Khenpo Tsultrim Gyatso. She also teaches at the Nitharta Institute. Stephanie studied at Nova Scotia College of Art and Design. A book she wrote on Buddhist image literacy will be published soon.
On Friday evening, March 20, Mitra Karl will give a public lecture on Devotion and Emptiness.
This lecture is open to all interested parties. It is advisable to register in advance as there are a limited number of places available. It starts at 7:30 p.m. and lasts until 10:00 p.m.
On Saturday and Sunday, the topic will be “the importance of emptiness on the Buddhist path.” This is only open to members of Nalandabodhi. It will be a hybrid meeting so that members from abroad can also participate. However, it is still a surprise what it will look like. The schedule for the days is as follows:
The meeting will be held at ’t Fundament, which is the rehearsal space for the ’t Kapelletje theatre. The address is Willem van der Sluysstraat 176 in Rotterdam. The space is a 10-minute walk from Rotterdam Central Station (Blijdorp exit).
